Chairman of Asante Kotoko NCC, Christopher Damenya has indicated that the club will aim to reach the group stage of the CAF Champions League next season.
The Ghana Premier League giants will represent the country in the 2022/23 CAF elite competition following Premier League success under Prosper Narteh Ogum.
Speaking Kumasi-basedsed Akoma FM, NCC chairman Christopher Damenya has opened up on the club’s target for the Africa campaign.
“Next season we will try to retain the league but our target now is to make it into the group stages of the African competition.
“What all fans of Kotoko are now dreaming of is getting to the money zone and that is our target,” Damenya concluded.
He said he does not doubt that if the club strengthens its squad, it will be able to achieve that target.
Meanwhile, the ruling New Patriotic Party have expressed their readiness to assist the club ahead of their participation in Africa.
